An Ex Decadent

Formed in 2000 from the remains of Trance Monkey, An Ex Decadent was part of Kagoshima's Satsuma underground music scene.

In a later retrospective account, the band's music was described as anti-pop and melantronic: an eclectic combination of guitars, saxophones, voices, and electronic sounds, shaped by the experience of living in Japan as outsiders.

Surviving recordings are being catalogued for possible release as archival collections.

A collection of fifteen surviving tracks, including a live performance, is being reviewed. The original sequence is being preserved while possible EPs and other groupings are considered.
